Principal:


Gary has been the President of the Optometrists Association (and still on the OAA council), Director of the national board of ProVision, consultant to the low vision centre (Association for the Blind)and board member of the Dyslexia-SPELD Foundation. He has also been President of the Rotary club of Melville and a District Director for literacy. Gary also has liaised with governments in providing optometric care to the isolated rural and aboriginal communities.

Gary was the first optometrist in WA to utilise visual perceptual assessments and vision training programmes for children (and adults) with vision and learning difficulties. He has worked over the years to promote a multi-disciplinary, co-operative, approach to learning difficulties. With many hours devoted to post-graduate studies, continuing education and lecturing to optometrists, occupational therapists, educators and medical practitioners.

Optometrists

Matthew Madigan. B Optom (Hons) NSW is a young and enthusiastic addition to our professional staff. His interests include paediatrics and low vision. He has worked at the Lions Eye Institute at Sir Charles Gardner Hospital.

Occupational Therapist

Jill Crerie has been an OT since 1981 and in Private Practice since 1985, specialising in paediatrics and learning difficulties.

Support Staff

All our staff have extensive experience in optics and undertake the ProVision's acreditation courses for optometrist assistants (OA), which is the only nationally acredited course for OA's.

Esther has been an optical assistant with us since 2000. She not only is responsible for excellent patient care and service, dispensing spectacles and quality control in the laboratory, she is also our fashion consultant and frame buyer.

Michelle has worked for independent optometrists her entire optical career and has undertaken ProVision courses in both optics and retail subjects as part of the national Optometric Assistant acreditation. SHe has first hand experience of the newest lens technologies and how they enhance wear and vision in glasses.

Kaylene. Our bright energetic and diligent therapy assistant who also manages the practice books.

Holly is our youngest member of staff, working as an optometric assistant, she loves working with our patients and providing solutions to your needs
